Daymon D. Brandenburg

1929-2022

Daymon Brandenburg, age 93, passed away on December 13th, 2022. Daymon was born in Heard County, Georgia, and married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Bozeman, in 1948.

Daymon is survived by his two daughters, Wanda B. Kilpatrick (Hugh, III) and Becky B. Pruitt (Steve), four grandchildren, Bobby Pruitt (Chelsie), Ashley Pruitt Creamer, Heather Pruitt Elliott (Jay), and Julie Kilpatrick Hall (Blake), eleven great-grandchildren, and brother, Gary Brandenburg. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Daymon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Brandenburg, two brothers, and his parents.

Daymon worked for the Kroger Company for 30 years. He was an active member of Airview Baptist Church, having served as a Deacon and a member of the choir. Later, he joined First Baptist Church of Opelika.

His favorite interests were maintaining a beautiful lawn, growing colorful flowers, especially roses, and traveling throughout the U. S. He also enjoyed viewing all sports, especially Alabama football… Roll Tide!

The visitation will be held in the parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Friday, December 16th, from 12:00 noon until 12:50 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Frederick-Dean Chapel on Friday, December 16th, at 1:00 p.m with Reverend Jeff Meyer and Reverend Cade Farris officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home will be handling all arrangements.
