Douglas (Doug) Monroe Dupree of Opelika, Alabama died peacefully on April 21, 2016 at his home after an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Dupree and brother, Timothy (Tim) James Dupree. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Wood Dupree; sister, Kathy (Barry)Jones of Birmingham; brother, Andrew Dupree (Susan Daniel) of Opelika; sister-in-law, Kathy Riddle Dupree of Opelika; 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 6 great nieces, and 4 great nephews. Family visitation and viewing will be Monday, April 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 2807 Lee Road 166, Opelika, Alabama, with Graveside to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Rusty Sowell officiating.
