Edna Jean Black, age 81 of Opelika, formerly of Logansport, Indiana, was born in Cass County, Indiana on February 26, 1931 and passed away at her home in Opelika on November 5, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Stella Kistler. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley J. Black; four sisters and three brothers. She survived by three daughters, Debra Masingo and husband Verlin, Teresa Evers, and Dianne McBurney and husband Charles; one sister; two brothers; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jimmy, and Chris Masingo, Amanda and Ethan Evers, and Tyler and Rachael McBurney; and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of your choice. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
