Edward P. Maffett of Auburn, Alabama was born in Trion, Georgia on February 1, 1948 to the late William and Rosetta Maffett and passed away at Bethany House on October 24, 2016. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Sandra Ashley Maffett; daughter Emily Suzanne Maffett; son John Ashley Turner; brother-in-law Gregg Ashley and his wife Cya, cousins as well as a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at their home in Auburn. This will be a time of celebration to fulfill Eds wishes. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bethany House for "A Memorial Garden in Eds memory" or Pet Rescue through the local Humane Society. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at their home in Auburn. This will be a time of celebration to fulfill Eds wishes.
