Edward Earl Thomas, age 59, passed away into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Sunday, November 6, 2016.
Earl was born to the late Manning Edward Thomas and Hattie Pearl Thomas on September 18, 1957 in Opelika, AL. He married his loving wife, Gaye Lavelle Thomas June 5, 1981.
Earl is survived by his wife, Gaye, and children Billy Joe Thomas, Amy Kyes Thomas, Edward Earl Thomas II and Courtney Walton Thomas. Earls precious grandchildren are Jade Nicole Thomas and Emory Kyes Thomas. He is also survived by his two sisters Rebecca Lauderdale and Peggy Flournoy, along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Earl Thomas is leaving behind a beautiful legacy. He has touched so many lives in our community with his joyful smile, laughter and genuine kindness. The freedom he received allowed him to love freely and passionately. There is no denying the selfless, unconditional love he had for his family. He was the sunshine on a cloudy day. He loved his family and friends along with every moment he got to spend with them. He will indeed be missed.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Church of the Highlands Auburn campus from 11:00 until12:00 noon.
Memorial service to immediately follow Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 12:00 CST.
