Obituary

Elizabeth McCullers Stewart of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her residence. She was 78 years old.

Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Catherine McCullers; her brother, Edwin McCullers (Linda); and her niece, Summer Gleaton.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Farley Stewart; her daughters, Cathy Wiggins (Carl) and Susan Stewart; and her siblings, Judy Carlile (David) and Gloria Davis (Jerry).

Her grandchildren also survive her: Tamra Wiggins, Josie Wiggins, Stewart Wiggins, Catherine Wiggins, Grace Pecci Moore (Chase), Annie Pecci, and Lora Beth Pecci. Great grandchildren are Chloe, Conner, Blakely Moore, and Walker Moore. Nieces and nephews are Jay Gleaton (Carol), Jeff Gleaton (Keri), Becky Guest (Bruce), Mary Ann Parsons (Mike), and several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the East Campus of Providence Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Rusty Sowell will be officiating. Fredrick-Dean Funeral Home is directing.

Pallbearers will be Chase Moore, Stewart Wiggins, Martin Pecci, Robbie Alexander, Ison McAnally, and Wade Childers.
