Ellen J. Bryant of Opelika was born in Geneva County on March 2, 1935 and passed away at her home on February 8, 2023. She was 87 years old.

Ellen was a member of Central Baptist Church and worked at Ampex tape plant for 23 years before she retired

She was preceded in death by her husband; Harold Bryant, brothers; Richard Jones, Alton Jones, and David Jones, and sister; Earline Harden.

She is survived by her sons; Harold Randall (Donna) Bryant of Opelika, AL, Timothy (Tom) Bryant of Birmingham, AL, and Mark Bryant of Opelika, AL, daughter; Vickie (Billy) Horne of Opelika, AL, sisters; Edith Regan of Beverly Hills, FL, Sue Barnette of Gallatin, TN, and Charlotte Russ of Bristol, TN, brother; Roger (Jackie) Jones, Inverness, FL, Granddaughters; Kelsey Bryant of Birmingham, AL, Kelly (Clint) Langley of Opelika, AL, Katherine (Carlton) Wallace of Opelika, AL, Kristin Horne of Opelika, AL, and Marie (Roger) Clark of Dadeville, AL, Grandsons; Derrick (Tanya) Bryant of Houston, TX, and Daniel (Jenna) Bryant of Opelika, AL, Great-Grandchildren; Britney (Brian) Gunn, Jessie (Elle) Clark and Dylon Clark, Cale, Clay and Miles Langley, Kaden Bowen, Beau Bryant, Emerson and Hannah Bryant and Sadie Wallace.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 3-5PM in the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral service will be Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2:00PM at Central Baptist Church with Brother Tommy Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
