Elsie Faye Moon Murray

Mrs. Elsie Faye Moon Murray, age 88, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026.

Elsie was born on January 5, 1938, in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was centered on faith, family, and service to others. She was a faithful member of Pine Grove Church in Opelika, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James T. Murray, who passed away in 2008.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Cathy Perry and husband Alan Perry, Jim Murray, and Steve Murray and wife Lisa Murray. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel with Ministers Ricky Thomaston and Mark McCarty officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery in Opelika, Alabama.
