Obituary

Emma Jean Ray Baker, age 89, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016. Mrs. Baker was a life long resident of Opelika, Alabama. Emma Jean and her husband Harlan Baker were owners of Bakers Studio in Opelika. Emma Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Thomas Harlan Baker, and her beloved parents R.L. Ray and Millie Ann Ray; brothers, Claude, T.S., J.C., Zeb, Ray, and Bobby Morrison. Emma Jean is survived by her son, Thomas D. Baker and wife Pam; daughter, Dixie Elaine Baker; two grandsons, Thomas D. Baker, Jr. (Brandi), William Timothy Baker (Kelly); great granddaughter, Lauren Kate Baker, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. The family will receive friends in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Graveside service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Garden Hills Cemetery with Reverend Gerald Sykes officiating.
