Emma L. Mitchell, of Phenix City, Alabama was born to the late James and Ellie Buchanan on June 21, 1922, and passed away at her home in Phenix City on April 29, 2016. She was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Mitchell; great grandson, Justin Moore, and great-great granddaughter, Kylie Beth Creed. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Howard) Underwood of Phenix City, Alabama, Linda (Richard) Watson of Palisade, Minnesota, JoAnn (Butch) Bunn of LaGrange, Georgia, Diane (Charlie) Lee of LaGrange, Georgia; grandchildren, Michael (Geri) Underwood, Chris Underwood, Monica Moore, Matt Watson, Mitch Watson, Steve (Becky) Johnson, Paula Johnson, Tim Johnson, Josh Bunn, Monica Bunn, Shawn Lee, Angel (Bee) Tompkins, Marie Lee; special friends Barbara Watkins, Cathy Underwood; 23 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. CDT. Funeral service will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. CDT with Reverend Steve Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. CDT.
