Florene S. Griffin

Florene S. Griffin, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip W. Griffin, her grandsons Michael Griffin and Reggie Coleman III, her parents, Olin & Vera Sims, her sisters Lorene Weldon, and Joyce Clifton.

Florene is survived by her children, Phyllis Pruitt, Michael Griffin (Teresa), David Griffin (Cheryl), Elaine Coleman (Reggie) and Shelia Thompson, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the parlor at Frederick-Dunn Funeral Home. A chapel service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Johnny Coker and Brother Frank Chappell officiating. Graveside service will follow at Garden Hill Cemetery.
