Floyd Truitt 1932-2022 Floyd Truitt of Opelika was born in Lee County, Alabama on November 5, 1932 and passed away at his home surrounded by family on June 13, 2022. He was 89 years old. He was a member of Shady Grove Christian Church. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Shirley B. Truitt; children, Barry Truitt, Vicki Crowley (Rick), Larry Truitt (Sheila); grandchildren, April Long, Amber Curry (Shane), Victoria Truitt; great grandchildren, Caleigh Long, Carson Long, Ben Curry, Evelyn Curry, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Garden Hills Cemetery with Roger Thrower officiating.
