Harmon Eujean Hastings of Auburn was born in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Mary and Walter Hastings on April 13, 1945 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on January 2, 2019. He was 73 years old.
He was a Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid Auburn Football Fan. He would do anything for anybody, and loved spending time with his family which was very important to him. He was a Godly man who lived his life in that light, he had a strong faith and was a man of great character.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward "Ed" Warden Hastings, Walter Jerome "Jerry" Hastings, III.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gleaves Hastings; sons, Christopher Harmon Hastings (Emily Holden), and Patrick Dean Hastings (Rachel Davis); brother, George Patrick Hastings (Jenness); sisters, Mary Jane Crabtree, and Terry Sue Crouch; granddaughter, Andrea Davis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jere Scott Bradshaw speaking.
