Harold Malcolm Prather September 5, 1933 - February 19, 2022 Harold Malcolm Prather of Cusseta, Alabama was born on September 5, 1933 in Lee County and passed away in Auburn on February 19, 2022. He was 88 years old. Malcolm graduated from Beauregard High School, served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and attended Auburn University. He then worded for IBM as a computer engineer for 16 years. After that, he owned Lee Coating (painting bridges), Prather Paint and Farm Supply, and bought and sold real estate. Malcolm's true love, however, was farming, and he planted trees wherever he lived. Harold Malcolm Prather was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lois Prather; son, Ray Prather; parents, Raymond Curtis and Arie Chadick Prather; and brothers, Hiram and Jack Prather. He is survived by his daughter, Denise P. Shealey; grandchildren, Lindy Shealey, Daniel Shealey, Tamara Prather Thompson (Trey), Bryan Shealey, Caleb Prather (Kelsey), Walter Shealey, Jarod Prather (Rhea), Sera Shealey, and many loving great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the parlor at Frederick -Dean Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
