Helen Dowdell Pugh of Auburn, Alabama was born to the late Velma Harper and Leland Golden Dowdell in Lee County on June 28, 1937 and passed away at her home surrounded by family on February 28, 2019. She was 81 years old. She was a member of High Hope Baptist Church. She lived her life for family and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Pugh; sons, Toney Pugh (Sandra), and Patrick Pugh (Vivian); grandchildren, Ryan Pugh (Cathey Lee), Britney Pugh, Sofia Pugh, Gabriela Pugh; great grandchild, Etta Graceyn Pugh; brother, Charlie Dowdell (Selena), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. CST. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. CST.
