Hilda Colon Davis, 89 of Opelika, Alabama went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 18, 2011, at Oak Park in Auburn, Alabama. She was born on November 27, 1921. She was a devoted and greatly loved wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her church and lived a Christian life daily. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew James Davis; and her parents, Ellen Colon Hilyer and Madison Obediah Hilyer; three brothers, T.Q. Hilyer, Rembert Hilyer, and Julian Hilyer. She is survived by her daughter, Lena Marie Rosser (Glenn) of Opelika, Alabama; son, James Vernon Davis of Opelika, Alabama; sister, Pat Lisle of Opelika, Alabama; brother, Whit Hilyer (Sayoko) of Columbus, Georgia; three granddaughters, Mrs. Sherie Wilson (Ricky) of Prattville, Alabama, Mrs. Susan Papa (Joe) of Beauregard, Alabama, and Mrs. Teresa Davenport of Marietta, Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Megan Wilson, Ethan Carrne, Nathan Davenport, and Hannah Davenport; as well as many nieces and nephews.
