Iva Mae McDaniel

March 30, 1934 – January 22, 2025

Iva Mae McDaniel passed away at the age of 90 in Alexander City, Alabama on January 22, 2025. She was born to Thomas and Hope Davis on March 30, 1934, in Virginia.

Iva is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband Carlos B. McDaniel, Sr.; daughter Faye Jones; siblings Patricia Ann Lyden, Hazel Harrison, Tommy Davis, Melvin Davis, Herbie Davis, and Flossie Miller.

She is survived by her sister, Brenda Davis-English; children Carlos B. McDaniel, Jr., and Peggy (Pete) Newcomb; grandchildren Steve (Stacey) Wingo, Jason (Kim) McDaniel, Marc McDaniel, Jessy (Katelyn) Reynolds, Austin (Brooklyn) McDaniel, Aiden McDaniel, Ben (Catrina) Casarez, Jr., Jessica (Martin) Ocegueda, Shaun (Miriam) Casarez, Josh (Angelina) Newcomb, Phillip Newcomb, Tim (Samantha) Jones, and Jeff (Marcy) Jones.

She was blessed with 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mrs. McDaniel will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 11:30 am at Shady Grove Cemetery on Hwy 29 in Beulah, AL.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
