Larry "Jake" Carmack of Opelika, Alabama was born in Walker County, Alabama to the late Jean and Hubert Carmack on May 11, 1949 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on September 20, 2018. He was 69 years old. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Nancy Carmack. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Bonnie Carmack; daughters, Tammy Crickard (Patrick), Angie Carmack Lett, Jeannie Karabasz (John), Susan Thongrivong (Dit); step son, Brian Simpkins; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Carmack, Gary Carmack, and Lanny Carmack; sister, Aretta Carmack, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Visitation will be held in the Sanctuary at Pepperell Baptist Church on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Sanctuary at Pepperell Baptist Church at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Newman officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Sanctuary at Pepperell Baptist Church on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.
