James Ramsey, 91, of Opelika, Alabama passed away at his home on Monday, March 3, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Ramsey and Cornelia Ledford Ramsey; daughter, Mariekia Ramsey and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Della Faye Sims Ramsey; five children, Monekia McFalls (Maurice), Isom Ramsey (Rhonda), Melette Ramsey, Robert Sims (Rita), and Debbie Massengale (Dwayne); sisters, Aldie Tipton, Maxine Cosby, and sister-in-law, Jackie Holt; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5 from 1:00p.m. -1:50p.m. at Marvyn Parkway Baptist Church with a service to follow at 2:00p.m. Pastor David Floyd will be officiating.

Interment will follow Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00a.m. CST in Burnsville, North Carolina at Watts Cemetery.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
