James Randall Weldon, of Opelika, was born in Opelika, Alabama on May 7, 1952, and passed away at his home on November 5, 2015. He was 63 years old. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and was an avid Alabama football fan. ROLL TIDE!!! He is survived by his wife of nine years, Debra Lucas Weldon; daughter, Kelly Gavins; grandson, William Alford; great grandson, Justin Alford; sister, Glenda Beaulieu; brother, Keith Weldon; aunt, Betty Ann Murphy (Roy Lee); aunt Helen Thompson; uncle, Leon Weldon; two special cousins, Linda and Marie, and a host of other family members. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Henry Dawson officiating. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m.
