Jim graduated from Downingtown High School where he excelled in athletics (football and basketball) in 1962 and continued his education at Shippensburg University where he was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education in 1966. Upon graduation, he was a proud high school teacher and then built a successful career earning prestigious job titles in finance at both Hoechst Celanese Corporation and Englehard Corporation, from which he retired 1997. Jim enjoyed spending time on the golf course as a member of the Men's Golf Club at Port Armor Golf Club in Greensboro, Ga and attending golf tournaments, namely The Master's over the years. He spent many hours on Lake Oconee tooling around in his pontoon boat enjoying sunsets with a glass of wine. Jim also proudly served as an elder at the Eatonton Presbyterian Church where he was a member for several years. During his children's formative years, he was a very loving father involved in their extracurricular activities. He never missed a game or performance and shared in their successes and hardships. He served as Coach to their little league teams and church basketball teams. He was always available to provide guidance and advice to his children as they aged and had children of their own. He cherished his grandchildren and took pride in their accomplishments over the years. If you knew Jim, you knew he had the very best and most perfect grandchildren on the planet, as they were his pride and joy. Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Yamshak (Dorothy); mother, Isabel Mendenall (Charles); and nephew, Greg Yamshak. He is survived by his children; son, James Raymond Yamshak, Jr (Lisa); daughter, Jill Campbell (Alex); wife, Joyce Yamshak; brothers, John R Yamshak (Joyce A) and Charles Yamshak (Maria); grandchildren, Bailey Yamshak, Brooks Yamshak and Cailin Campbell; and niece, Kelly Torchia. His children would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff in the Intensive Care Unit at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama for their excellent professionalism and true sense of compassionate family care.
