Jason Allen Ashworth, 38, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away at his home on October 6, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1985, in Moultrie, Georgia. Jason was a loving and humorous individual with a million-dollar smile. He was known for his bright personality, respectfulness, and his deep love for the Lord. Jason enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Kayla Ashworth of Opelika, Alabama; his mother, Betty Jean Conley of Hahira, Georgia; his father, William Allen Ashworth (Loria) of Opelika, Alabama; his fiancé, Blair Smith of Johnson City, Tennessee; his brother, Bay Conley (Ashley) of Adel, Georgia; his sister, Jessica Ashworth of Opelika, Alabama; his grandparents, Hazel L Woods and Jr. Woods "Nanny & Pawpaw"; step-brothers, Brandon and Corey Conley, Charles Young, Jason Parker; and step-sister, Rebecca Hamby. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Jason attended Cook County High School and proudly served in the Army. His commitment to his military association was unwavering. In addition to his service, Jason found solace and joy in his faith, cherishing his relationship with the Lord.
A committal service will be held at 9:00 AM Central Daylight Time at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the mental health charity of your choice. Jason believed in the importance of mental health and supporting those in need.
