Jedrick "Jed" Marshall Howell

1975 - 2022

Jedrick (Jed) Marshall Howell 47 of Auburn ascended through the gates of Heaven on September 19, 2022. Jed was born in Montgomery, Al. on August 22, 1975, as the first child of his loving parents Marshall and Becky Howell. Jed enjoyed growing up in the Pike Road Community and faithfully serving Jesus at Highland Ave. Baptist Church in Montgomery. Jed loved the Lord and had a servant's heart. After moving to Auburn in 2015, Jed served as a "Prayer Warrior" at Way to Serve.

Jed loved his family, friends, Auburn Football, Braves Baseball, driving and listening to music and good preaching. With his gift of "gab" and a gentle spirit he never met a stranger. He was a frequent visitor to many local restaurants and businesses and enjoyed their food and fellowship.

Jed is survived by his parents Marshall and Becky Howell, brothers Josh and Jeff Howell and several cousins, aunts and uncles and his sister in Christ, Dominique LeGree. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Peanut and Lucille (Nan) Neeley and George and Angeline Howell and his Aunt Angel Scholder.

Services will be held Friday September 23, 2022, at 12:00P.M. at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, Al. and conducted by Brother Billy Duncan. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30A.M. until 11:45 A.M. in the parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Town Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pete Bender, Cliff Boyd, John Stearnes, Wade Johnson, Luke Chapman, Joseph Murray, Corey Phillips, and Jeff Howell.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to NAMI or Way To Serve Ministry in Opelika.
