JoAnn Griggs Weldon

JoAnn Griggs Weldon , 86 , passed away Monday, September 23 2024 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born August 5, 1938. She was a graduate of Auburn High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Opelika.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry O.B. Weldon. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jerry Huffstutler; daughter, Janet Weldon; grandsons, Brandon (Amy) Huffstutler, Bret (Misty) Huffstutler; Five great-grandchildren; One great great grandchild; Two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and dear special friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 from 12:00-1:00PM at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in the Parlor followed by a Graveside service at 1:00PM at Garden Hills Cemetery.

A special thanks to all wonderful caregivers who grew to love her. Thanks to all the special nurses with Homecare of East Alabama Medical Center. Thanks to the nurses and hospice nurses in the progressive unit on the 4th floor at East Alabama Medical Center. God Bless
