Joe R. "Scooter" McAnally, age 59 of Beauregard, was born on October 15, 1951 in Huntsville, Alabama and passed away on July 12, 2011 at his home. He is survived by his sons, Jamie McAnally and wife Alicia, and Joey McAnally and wife Barbara; grandchildren, James, Ison, Elizabeth McAnally, and Josh and JoAnna McAnally; sister, Vickie McLemore and husband Darrell; and niece, Mari-Anne Rolin and husband Ben. Mr. McAnally was a loving father and grandfather. His grandchildren were his primary focus during the last several years of his life. He was a past president of the Beauregard Baseball Association and mentored many young players over the years.
