Johnny Joseph Frazier, 63, of Salem, AL, passed away on September 18, 2023.
He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, deeply devoted to his family. Johnny will be remembered as a man of God, with a heart for the Lord.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alexia, and his four children: Josh, Jackie, Audrey, and Gabe. He was blessed with nine grandchildren: Little Josh, Jaden, Kaylee, Jaxon, Bryant, Brylee, Jace, Mattie, and Chance.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florine Bryant, father, Joe Frazier, sister, Julie Goree, sister, Tammy, and brother, Roy Frazier.
Born on November 27, 1959, Johnny grew up in Opelika, AL. He attended Opelika Elementary School and later graduated from Opelika High School. Johnny's dedication and strong work ethic led him to a successful career as the superintendent of Dudley Lumber Company in Salem, Alabama, where he remained loyal for 44 years. Johnny was a man of many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed cutting grass, helping his neighbors, working hard, spending time with his family, and attending church. He was an active member of Union Grove Baptist Church for 25 years, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. In recent years, he became a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church, continuing his service as a Deacon.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10am to 12pm cst at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, followed by a celebration of Johnny's life. A private graveside service will take place with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary donations be made to Youth for Christ at 1400 North College, Auburn, AL 36830.
Johnny Joseph Frazier will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His unwavering faith, love for his family, and commitment to his community will leave a lasting impact. May he rest in peace.
