Mr. Johnny C. Spraggins, age 64, was born on November 21, 1946 in Opelika and passed away on February 9, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, William Ross Spraggins; step-father, Bernie Myers; step-mother, Betty Spraggins; three brothers, William Grady and Jerry Wayne Spraggins; and one sister, Linda Ruth Spraggins. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Sue Spraggins; mother, Jennie Myers; three daughters, Wendy Swiney and husband Wayne, of Cusseta, Kara Crosby and husband Buster, of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Dawny Walker and husband Mike, of Ladonia; son, Jonathan "Lance" Spraggins and wife Wendy, of Warner Robins, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Britley Grimes, Joely and Corbin Walker, Alexis Gosnell, Kaitlynn and Tristan Swiney, Jazmine Arwood, and Hailey, Faith, and Courtney Spraggins; two sisters, Mary Louise Finch and husband Don, of Thompson, Georgia, and Sharon Diane Davis and husband Chris, of Alexander City; four brothers, David Adair Spraggins and wife Frances, of Dadeville, William Ross Spraggins, Jr. and wife Polly, of Dadeville, John Spraggins and wife Wilma, of Dadeville, and James Andrew Spraggins and wife Debra, of Dadeville; special niece, Laura Carter, of Auburn; and his dog, Rico.
