Joyce Pitts Giddens, age 62 of Opelika, was born on May 19, 1949 in Georgia and passed away on July 22, 2011. She was retired from Heat Craft of Tifton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow W. Barber. She is survived by her mother, Vernell B. Barber; children, Donna (Frank) McMullan, Debra (Randall) Moore, Dewayne Pitts, and Leslie Pitts; her grandchildren, Zachary, Shooter, Del and Cory McMullan, Nikki (Scottie) Baker, Ashley and Anna Moore, Amy McCranie, Jonathan and Shyanne Montgomery, and Alisa Walker; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Janette Woods Barwick, Betty Barber, and Wilene Barber; and brothers, Charles, Mack, Terry and David Barber.
