Obituary

Larry Penn 1964-2022 Larry Penn of Uniontown Ohio was born on July 23, 1964. He lived in Ohio for 57 years. He moved to Auburn Alabama 9 months ago on August 21, 2021. He passed away on May 24, 2022, battling prostate cancer. Larry worked at Chrysler for 20 years. While doing that he started his own business doing fabrication of aluminum swim platforms. He started out in his dad and mom's pull garage. As business grew, he rented a building down the street from Chrysler so he could go back and forth. As the business continued to grow, he purchased a building across the street from Chrysler on December 2005. Then put in a powder coating system. Business was called Extreme Marine Products, Inc. Larry loved to play guitar, play golden tee, pool, jet ski, boat. He also loved to play with his daughter Cheyenne. They loved to swim together, play donkey Kong, and play wrestle. They were like too peas in a pod, they couldn't go anywhere without getting in trouble. He camped at Cold Creek Trout Camp in Sandusky Ohio from 2010 – 2021. He loved going to the Keys on vacation. He had a cat named Nala which he adored. Larry could not go anywhere in the house without Nala following him. When he sat on the couch Nala was always on, he chest or lap and licking his ears. And most of all he loved his family and friends. Larry was diagnosed in June 2019 with cancer. He has had many different treatments trying to fight the battle. In February 2021 we decided to sell the business and move to Auburn Al to be closer to family. Larry was preceded in death by his Dad James Penn. Larry is survived by his wife Elaine and daughter Cheyenne; Mother - Alice Penn, Brothers - Jim Penn (Valinda), Gerry Penn (Laura). Step brothers – Gary Penn, Bobby Penn (Char) and Step Sister - Nancy Calhoun. Father – Mike Kraus. Memorial Service will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday May 28, 2022, at 11:00 am.
