Lettie Mae Lee Strickland 1940-2021 Lettie Mae Lee Strickland of Opelika was born in Gholson, Mississippi to the late James Tilton and Nancy Beatrice Daniels Lee on February 5, 1940 and passed away at her home on April 10, 2021. She was 81 years old. Lettie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Huey L. Strickland; a grandson; great granddaughter; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by; son, Michael Strickland; daughter, Deborah A. Hollingsworth (Mark); grandchildren, Diana Atkins (Stephen); John Strickland, Nathan Hollingsworth (Kara), and Daniel Hollingsworth; 9 great grandchildren, and sisters, Willie Carney and Carolyn Rigdon. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Graveside service will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Rusty Sowell officiating.
