Lila Vivian Pressley was born on September 17, 1928 in Cleburne County, Alabama and passed away on May 16, 2015 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was 86. Mrs. Pressley was preceded in death by her parents, Easton and Ora Lee Lovejoy; son, Loyd Randal Akins; and great-grandson, Jaxon White. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Leamer (Earl), Valeria Kalla, and Denise Deas (Tim); sons, Dean Franklin (Cindy) and Jamie Pressley; daughter-in-law, Barbara Sue Akins; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; step-children, James Lee Pressley (Patricia) and Penny Lynn Hooks (Doug); and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with her nephew Pastor Jody Overton officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
