Ola Margaret Simmons Dunson of Opelika, Alabama was born in Tallapoosa County, Alabama on July 24, 1944 and passed away at her home on February 20, 2017. She was 72 years old. She was of the Methodist Faith and believed in God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Lydle Cosby "L.C." Dunson; infant son, Lydle Cosby Dunson, Jr.; father, Virnard Levi Simmons. She is survived by her mother Myrtle Lois Simmons; children, Christopher Dunson, Richard Dunson (Jennifer), Yvonne White (Tommy), and Maura Bassett (Michael); grandchildren, Megan Dunson, Janette McWaters, Lydle McWaters, Haley McWaters, Johnathon Polk, Tiffany White, Amber White, and Cody Dunson; great grandchild, Lillian Ola Lawler and one on the way. Visitation will be in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. CST. Graveside service will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. CST in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Steve Williamson officiating. Visitation will be in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. CST.
