Margaret E. Evans, age 75 of Opelika, was born on April 10, 1936 in Lee County, Alabama and died on November 26, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Steve "Pop" Evans; her parents, Lick and Erma Stringfellow; great granddaughter, Ali Bell; one brother and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Nancy) Evans; daughters Nancy (Billy) Bell, Judy (Donald) Ray, Sandra Messer, Lisa (Billy) Short; special niece Patsy Bell; special sister-in-law Faye Stringfellow; grandchildren, Josh and Matthew Evans; Dusty and Jonathan Bell; Kecia Reynolds; Phillip, Jeremiah and Casey Ray; Krystal Tumlin; Lindsey Colley; Kaitlyn, Kristyn and Kamryn Short; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Evans was talented with arts and crafts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved by all.
