Marshall Todd Hood, Sr., age 52 of Pensacola, Florida, was born in Columbus, Georgia on December 7, 1961 and passed away in Pensacola on August 4, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Jack Hood. He is survived by his parents, Patsy and Jimmy Ledbetter; sons, John Hood and Todd Hood; brother, Michael Ledbetter; niece, Brooke Ledbetter; nephews, Jacob Ledbetter and Mitchell Ledbetter; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. He was raised in Opelika and graduated from Opelika High School in 1980. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Navy and in due course retired after 21 years of service to his country. He loved the beach and all water sports. He was an avid swimmer and took great pleasure in swimming with dolphins in Pensacola Bay. He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
