Marvin Storbeck, 88, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1925 in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife Colleen Mennen Storbeck, and his brothers, Melvin and Dean Storbeck. Mr. Storbeck had his own insurance agency in Waterloo, Iowa and was a veteran of WWII. He always had a quick wit and enjoyed playing the banjo and singing at nursing homes, or even at the doctors office. Eventually he and Colleen settled in Auburn, Alabama. He is survived by his two children, Rhonda Euchner (Jim) and Jim Storbeck (Alicia), both of Auburn, Alabama; four grandchildren, Ashley Medeiros, Allyson Adams, Joseph Storbeck, and Paola Storbeck. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home, with Dr. George Mathison officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the Parlor from 10:00 am to the funeral hour.
