Marvis A. Clark, 86, was born on September 20, 1928 and passed away on March 26, 2015 at Bethany House. She was the daughter to the late John Henry and Cora Mae Knowles. Mrs. Clark retired from Leshner Mills in 1993 with over 40 years of service. She was born in East Tallassee, Alabama and moved to Opelika at the age of 16 and has lived there since. She married Jesse Clark in 1946; they were married for over 39 years when he passed away. She is survived by, daughter, Curtrisher Sanders; sons, Dale Clark (Nancy) and Ronnie Clark (Dorothy); eleven grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Knowles. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 12:30-1:45 pm in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Pastor Darren White and Pastor Dan Boatman officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
