Mary Jon "Teeny" Brown Jones Cole, age 80 of Dadeville, was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on May 14, 1930 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on April 6, 2011. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Opelika. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John W. Brown Jr. and Mrs. Mary Lucylle Frye Brown. She is survived by her son, Edward M. Jones III; daughter, Cylle Jones Rowell and husband Roth; son Johnny Jones; and daughter, Georgeanne Jones; grandchildren, Katie Rowell, Wes Jones, Hunter Rowell and wife Katrina, and Morgan Jones; and one great granddaughter, Karabella Rowell. Teeny, as she was fondly known by friends and family, was a loving mother, grandmother and more recently great grandmother. She was an avid Crimson Tide fan having graduated from the University of Alabama, and those that loved or tolerated this part of her certainly knew her as quite a card. Along with her quick wit, she had a very generous spirit, giving to many worthwhile causes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be held at Fredericks Funeral Home prior to the service from 3:00 pm/cst until the time of service.
