Mary Ruis Harrington, of Auburn, was born in Sanderson, Florida on July 14, 1937 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. She was 74 years old. She was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Ruis and Margaret Skinner; brother, Archie Ruis; sister, Matilda Johnson; sister, Annie Mae Sequine; and grandson, Matt Jones. She is survived by her husband, John Harrington; sister, Jewel Reddish; son, Douglas Brown and wife Jane; daughter, Letricia McInarnay and husband Tommy; daughter, Penny Walters and husband Robert; daughter, Brenda Cadenhead and husband Roy; son, Randy Brown and wife Sharon; stepchildren, Vickie Hamby, Mickey Harrington and wife Karen, Debra Reach, Sharon Davis and husband Chip; nineteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
