Mary Emma McCollum, 79, was born on January 28, 1935 in East Alabama, and passed away on November 28, 2014 at Lafayette Nursing Home. She was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church. Mrs. McCollum was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. McCollum. She is survived by her children, Dessa Cotney, John Hadaway (Sheila), Tim McCollum (Lori), Anita Tankersley (Ron), and Mark McCollum (Christine); seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Visitation will be in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Reverend Vance McCollum officiating. Interment will follow at Noon at Carrville Cemetery, Tallassee, Alabama.
