Mary Lou Norred

Mary Lou Norred of Opelika, Alabama passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. She was 88 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Norred; daughter, Linda Hawkins; sons, Terry Buckner, Perry Stringfellow and Jamie Norred.

Mary Lou is survived by her children; Nola Coshatt (Whitey), Ronnie Buckner, JoAnn Childs (Gillis), Cathy McDonald and Randy Aston; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Monday, March 2, 2026 from 1:00PM-1:50PM with a service to follow at 2:00PM in the Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Tielking officiating. Interment will be at Garden Hill Cemetery.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
