Mrs. Norrell had lived in Auburn since 1986, having relocated from her home in Hazel Green, Alabama, where she was a schoolteacher, pillar of the Methodist Church there, as well as in Auburn, and a lifelong Democrat. She was the loving wife of Robert D. Norrell and the sweet mother of Lisa, Jeff (Tracey) Norrell, and Jane Cooley (Bob), who survive her, as do six grandchildrenKatie, Leila, Jay and Eliza Norrell, Jim Francisco (Stefanie), and Maryann DeVries (Zach). Mrs. Norrells siblings, Richard and Slaughter Graham, Jr., Rene Bailey, and Ruth Stringfellow, died earlier. Visitation will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Sanctuary at Auburn United Methodist Church from 10:30 until 11:50 a.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Sanctuary at Auburn United Methodist Church at 12:00 noon with Reverend George Mathison officiating. Interment will follow at Auburn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given Auburn United Methodist Church food pantry and MERCY fund (AUMC P.O. Box 3135 Auburn, Alabama 36831).
