Maxine Gregory Bond 1941-2021 Maxine Gregory Bond of Auburn was born to the late Merle and Hubert Gregory on July 10, 1941 in Greenville, Alabama and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on June 1, 2021. She was 79 years old. Maxine was born with a smile on her face and merriment in her heart. In fact, her Dad quickly labeled her, "Joker", and it remained her nickname throughout childhood. Her greatest loves were her children and any sport Auburn happened to be playing. There was no greater joy for her than spending an autumn weekend in Auburn with husband, Billy, the kids, grandkids, and fifty of her closest friends. Maxine is survived by her husband, William (Billy) Bond; sons, James Dennis Rigsby (Lizabeth), Gregory Keith Rigsby; daughter, Deborah Rigsby Porter (Stan); grandchildren, Paul Joseph Porter, William John Porter (Kendall), Laura Kathleen Dills (Levi), and Stuart Alexander Rigsby (Cari); great grandchildren, Zoe Madison Nichols, Avery Grace Dills, James Tate Dills, Maggie Mae Rigsby, Beau Alexander Rigsby; step-son, Chance Bond; step-daughter, Emily Norwood; step-granddaughter, Haley Norwood Holly (Christian); step-grandson, Wesley Norwood; sisters, Peggy Gregory Vainrib, Glenda Gregory Rose (Jim); Memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. CDT. We will miss you so much, sweet lady. You enriched so many lives.
