Michael A. Pollard, 51, was born December 5, 1962 to the late W.E. and Nell Pollard and passed away on January 10, 2014 at Bethany House. His short life had a huge impact on all those around him. He graduated from Auburn University and was a former Deputy Sherriff with the Lee County Sherriffs Department. He was currently the Assistant Chief, Law Enforcement Section, of the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division for the State of Alabama. He is survived by his brothers, Danny Pollard (Patricia) and Bill Pollard (Kathy); nieces, Tiffany Pollard Clay (Adam), Ashley Barnes (Jamie), Katie Sellers, Tara Hardinger; a nephew, Joey Pollard (Stephanie); great-niece, Emma Barnes; and great-nephews, Tyler Sellers, Evan Barnes, Marc Laney, and Micah Laney. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Noon in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Woodland, Alabama. A visitation will be in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 11 am until 11:45 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
