Mildred W. Smith, 93, was born February 28, 1921 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late James and Annie Wilder. She passed away June 20, 2014 in Opelika, Alabama. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Ted Smith and her son James Richard Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Smith; her son, Tom Smith; grandchildren Jeff Smith and Amy Smith; brother, Frank Wilder; sister, Patricia Wilder Duke; and numerous family members and friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 1:30 PM in the chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
