Nadine Smith, of Opelika, was born on March 1, 1923, and passed away at her home surrounded by her family on October 9, 2015. She was 92 years old.
She was very active in Wesley United Methodist Church.
She was a loving person who cherished her family and enjoyed helping others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebron Smith; son, Larry Smith, as well as two sisters, and three brothers.
She is survived by her children, Leon Smith (Anita) of Dadeville, Alabama, and Kenneth Smith, M.D. (Magdalene) of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Richie Smith, Somer Bass (Rev. Tim), Sebron Smith, Constance Rollins (Royce), Brook Gates (James), Clay Smith (Jennifer), and Taylor Smith; great grandchildren, Josh, Aly, Nick, Dillion, Cameron, Caleb, McKinley, Logan, Carley, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
The family would also like to thank Cindy Darby, Earnestine Beard, Juanita Marshall, Meyata Marshall, and Tesha Winchester. If not for their loving care, she would not have been able to remain in her home!
Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Bass, and Pastor Paul Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
