Randy Edward Dorris, of Opelika, was born in Lee County on February 3, 1958 and passed away following a brief illness at East Alabama Medical Center on October 4, 2012. He was 54 years old. Mr. Dorris was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Dorris. He is survived by his wife, Judy M. Dorris; father, Gene Doris; mother, Shirley Dorris; son, Jim (Kristie) Newsome; brother, Ricky (Lagina) Dorris; granddaughter, Kinsley Newsome; grandson, Knox Newsome; niece, Bekah Jane McCormick; and sister-in-law, Connie Tsimpides. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairfax Elementary School, 502 Blvd, Valley, Alabama 36854.
