Richard Lee Massey, age 61 of Auburn, was born on November 3, 1951 in Danville, Virginia. He passed away on July 1, 2013 at his home. He was born to the late Eulis and Lorene Massey. Mr. Massey was a kind hearted, hard working man who will be missed by all. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Massey; children, Craig Montgomery and Lindsey Montgomery; brother, Tom Massey (Darlene) of Auburn; sisters, Elaine Montgomery (Raleigh Dee) of Columbus, NC and June Spradlin (Steve) of Fayetteville, GA; aunt, Alma Woods of Danville, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Garden Hills Cemetery, with Brother Gerald Sykes officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the Graveside at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
