Robert Earl (Scott) Hudson, 90, died September 17, 2013 at Azalea Place in Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Hudson was born June 4, 1923 in Lincoln. His parents were the late Robert Harold Hudson and Sarah Esther Kauffman Hudson.
Robert is survived by a brother Richard (Dick) Hudson of Lincoln, Nebraska and a sister, Georgia Hudson Henry of Ft. Worth, Texas.
After spending his early childhood in Lincoln, Nebraska he attended Staunton Military Academy, in Staunton, Virginia. Mr. Hudson was a World War II Veteran and served for three years in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Hudson spent a short modeling mens wear in New York, and then moved to Santa Barbara, California. There he operated a beauty salon in the Biltmore Hotel. After retirement as a hairdresser, Mr. Hudson lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, Springhill, Florida, and finally Opelika, Alabama. He was a resident of Azalea Place for the last five years. A special tribute is made to Lashanda Calloway and other sitters employed by Comfort Keepers and to special friends, Charles and Glenda Bush.
A celebration of Mr. Hudsons life will be held at the home of Charles and Glenda Bush in Opelika, Alabama from 9-11 AM on Saturday September 21, 2013.
