Ronnie Gerald Martin, 75 of Opelika, Alabama passed away at his home on March 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Opelika and retired from the State of Alabama. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family was the most important part of his life and he will be missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Viola Martin (Bo Bo); grandson, William (Scooter), Stephens; parents, Estelle and Fletcher Martin; brother, David Martin; sister, Frances Taylor. He is survived by the love of his life for 55 years, Betty Martin; daughter, (our guardian angel) Kathy (Terry) Martin-Colley; grandsons, (his boys) Justin and Jonathan Martin-Colley; son, William (Sheri) Stephens; granddaughter, Betty Joyce "Prissy" (Dusty) Morrison; very loved nephew, James Chadwick, Jeff Frazier, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends at their home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family would like to request that donations be made to the Charity of your choice.
