Roy Charles Lancaster, 72, was born on November 11, 1941 to the late Roy Jackson and Ouida Lee Lancaster and passed away on February 2, 2014 at Bethany House. Mr. Lancaster began his career early as a draftsman at his Uncle Herberts Architectural firm. Over a span of 35 years, Charles career expanded into owning his own business as an Architect in Auburn, Alabama. Charles work lives on in Auburn through the Lee County Justice Center, East Alabama Mental Health, Auburn University buildings and various homes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Jewell Francine Keesee Lancaster. He is survived by his children, Stephanie Lancaster Kennedy (John), Charles Ashley Lancaster, and Roy Andrew Lancaster (Lindsey); sisters, Jackie Keebler (Ted) and Julie Parker (Jerry); his grandchildren, Samuel Keesee West, Ashton Hunt Kennedy, Tyler Andrew Lancaster, and Trent Mitchell Lancaster; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery, Auburn, Alabama. The family will receive friends in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2014.
